New Induction Program Powered by EKP.
Pitcher Partners is a mid–tier company of accountants, auditors and advisors. It was recently awarded 'Best Large Accounting Firm' in the BRW/St George Client Choice Awards 2005, a national survey of professional service firms.
Pitcher Partners induct around 100 people at any one time. These new employees are mostly professional, white-collar workers who begin their working life at Pitcher Partners immediately thrust into the fast lane.
In mid–2004, Pitcher Partners conducted a search for an induction package that would suit its workforce and environment. In December 2004, it found a solution with Global Vision Media. A new induction program was created to improve initial training quality throughout the company, and to allow learners to work at their own pace.
The courseware is powered by the Enterprise Knowledge Platform (EKP) Learning Management System. This system is provided and managed by Global Vision Media and is run on our hardware at a disaster–proof facility located in Melbourne.
The Learning Management System was delivered in a time–frame to suit a period of upheaval, in which Pitcher Partners was moving its offices from one city location to another. The system was delivered with minimal involvement from the Pitcher Partners IT department (due to the move) and some initial training was delivered through this system before the move.
